Oct. 7 declared AmeriCorps Day in Iowa

Date:
Friday, October 7, 2016

Governor Terry E. Branstad designated October 7, 2016 as AmeriCorps Day in honor of the day on which our nation will reach an incredible milestone as we surpass 1 million men and women who have joined AmeriCorps to make our communities stronger.  Every day in communities across Iowa, AmeriCorps members are making a powerful impact on the most critical issues facing our state.  Whether responding to disaster, improving schools, fighting poverty, providing health services, preserving the environment, or supporting veterans and military families, AmeriCorps members get things done.
